Tony Juurinen - a passionate photographer and visual artist.
I began my journey as a photographer at the start of the millennium, when I secured my first training position in a large photography studio. When I had completed the first of my three degrees.I discovered the fascinating world of graphic design later in life.
I first came to Lisbon in 2022. I fell in love with the city immediately, as it felt like home. I was born in Helsinki and continue to work in Finland on various events and projects.
I primarily work with event photography and portraiture, which are often used in advertisements, for example.
Theatre is my great passion, and photographing it presents meaningful challenges and a strong sense of community. It is a privilege to capture unique moments and profound emotions on stage.
I also design posters for event organisers. My advantage lies in my ability to produce high-quality marketing photographs and utilise them when designing promotional materials.
Usually, at least a photographer and a graphic designer are employed for this type of work.
In my case, the event organiser manages the entire project under a single contract. This way, I can also ensure that the material fits together well in terms of style and atmosphere, and serves its purpose as effectively as possible; that is, it accurately represents the event the poster is promoting.
In my work, I value clarity, detail, and atmosphere, through which I aim to create a strong story and message within the image.
