Tony Juurinen – Storyteller and International Photographer
Tony Juurinen is a Finnish international photographer and storyteller, born in Helsinki in the 1970s. His work is driven by curiosity, humanity, and a desire to foster understanding between different cultures.

When Tony opens an old book of historical stories, he feels time bend: the past and the present converge, creating a bridge that conveys insights across generations. History reveals that the same human questions recur repeatedly—who wields power, who belongs in the crowd, and how to build consensus. The rise and fall of empires, as well as the toys children share in the sandbox, each tell a story about human nature in their own way.

My work for companies
The same curiosity guides Tony's work with companies. He produces photographs of influential figures in business and politics for marketing communications, as well as written content such as personal interviews, company presentations, and sales texts. The photography is conducted at the client's premises or a location of their choice, using compact equipment that enables studio-quality portraits to be taken anywhere.
Photography and interviews are combined into a single service, often conducted on the same day, or offered separately according to the client’s requirements. Tony primarily works with Nordic companies based in Brussels, whose corporate culture he understands well as a Finn, as well as with companies operating in Finland and other parts of Europe.
Background and Life
Tony holds a professional degree in photography and two degrees in communications. He has also studied graphic design at Savonia University of Applied Sciences, with journalism studies at the Open University of Jyväskylä pending. His career began in the early 2000s at Studio Laaksovirta Oy, where he developed discipline, precision, and an understanding of the language of light. Since then, a variety of assignments across different fields have broadened his skills and enhanced his ability to engage with diverse individuals.
For Tony, running is a form of meditation, a time when thoughts are organised and space is created for new ideas. Long conversations with his spouse, whose intelligence and open-mindedness he admires—and with whom he shares an interest in motorcycles, symbols of freedom and adventure—are equally inspiring.
